FreeCarve: The Transmission
No competition, no gates, no times. It’s just you, the snow and your edges (maybe a friend too). There’s beauty in FreeCarving in how it brings us back to the basics. It’s a focus on simplicity and it’s an approachable pursuit for every rider.
Perfect, dreamy powder runs can be few and far between - not everyday do the stars perfectly align. Hardpack, on the other hand, is certainly a more consistent and universal condition - something virtually every rider is familiar with. This truth steers the design ethos behind our all new Transmission shape - how can we create an ultra progressive, hardpack and carving specific board that gets us just as excited to lap the groomers as making those dreamy powder turns?
We first explored this concept 7 years ago when we developed the Orbit shape. The square nose, unique looking and riding board quickly became a cult classic. We took design aspects from racing boards and worked them into a space more applicable to everyday riders, non- racers.
As everything evolves, we’ve taken the past couple years to build off the Orbit platform and develop an Orbit 2.0 if you will - culminating in the Transmission. We’ve pushed things a bit further and ultimately created an even faster, more ripping FreeCarve machine.
The Transmission is stiff and highly responsive. The Transmission wants to be ridden fast and on edge. The Transmission wants you to push past what you thought was possible. Welcome to our next generation of FreeCarving.
