The Covert Split is built for backcountry riders who need confidence across the full spectrum of conditions. From long approaches and firm traverses to steep descents, tight trees, open faces, and variable snow, it delivers a stable and precise platform for technical riding in every range.

More versatile than powder-specific shapes, the Covert Split is designed to stay composed when conditions change. Its directional shape provides drive and control on the descent, while its split-specific construction keeps the board efficient on the climb. Reliable, adaptable, and ready for the unknown, the Covert Split is built to be the one board you trust in the backcountry.

Shape and Construction

Shape

Directional: Traditional camber + early rise nose, for the perfect blend of high performance edge hold, easy turn initiation, and float in soft snow.

Ingredients

Float Core 2.0: A splitboard-specific core built to balance uphill efficiency with confident downhill performance. Poplar and Beech provide strength, stability, and dependable response, while six Paulownia stringers reduce weight for longer tours and create a smooth, controlled flex across varied backcountry terrain.

Carbon: Lightweight carbon reinforcement adds response, strength, and torsional control, while biax fiberglass keeps the flex smooth and dependable. Built for confident edge hold, stability, and control in variable backcountry terrain.

Lightweight Hardglass Topsheet: A direct-print fiberglass topsheet designed to reduce weight without compromising durability. By applying the graphic directly to the final fiberglass layer, the Covert Split maintains a clean, protective finish with a lighter, more efficient construction for backcountry travel.

Karakoram Ultra Clips: Karakoram's Active Joining Technology provides the most secure splitboard connection.
